Frequently asked questions
How fast is pallet delivery to Vancouver and Burnaby?
In-stock pallets are delivered the next business day across Vancouver, Burnaby and New Westminster.
Do your heat-treated pallets meet ISPM-15 for export?
Yes. Our heat-treated 48 x 40 pallets are ISPM-15 compliant and carry the HT stamp, ready for shipments through the Port of Vancouver.
What does the HT or ISPM-15 stamp on a pallet mean?
HT means heat-treated: the wood has been heated to at least 56 °C at its core for 30 continuous minutes. Under the international ISPM-15 standard, wood packaging shipped to more than 80 countries must be debarked, heat-treated and stamped by a facility registered with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
Do I need heat-treated pallets to ship to the USA?
The CFIA notes that exemptions may apply for shipments to the continental United States, so standard pallets are often accepted. Requirements can change and some customers ask for heat-treated pallets anyway, so check with your buyer or customs broker. Overseas shipments generally need ISPM-15 pallets.
Do you pick up used pallets in Vancouver?
Yes. Pickup is free for 200 or more standard-size 4-way pallets; smaller or mixed loads have a pickup charge. We also buy used pallets.
What size is a standard pallet in Canada?
The most common pallet in Canada is 48 x 40 inches — the size used by grocery, retail and most distribution centres. Square 48 x 48 pallets are common for drums, totes and bulk bags. We also build custom sizes to your drawing.
What is the difference between a 2-way and a 4-way pallet?
A 2-way pallet can be lifted by a forklift from two opposite ends only. A 4-way pallet can be lifted from all four sides — through notches cut in the stringers or because it is a block pallet — which makes loading trucks and racking faster.
What is the difference between #1 (Grade A) and #2 (Grade B) pallets?
Grade A recycled pallets are in excellent condition with few or no repairs. Grade B pallets are fully functional but may have repaired boards or cosmetic wear, so they cost less.
Do you make wooden crates and skids?
Yes. We build custom wooden crates and skids with a minimum order of 50. Send your dimensions or a drawing with our quote form.
How many pallets fit on a 53-foot trailer?
About 26 standard 48 x 40 pallets fit on the floor of a 53-foot trailer when loaded straight, and up to 30 when turned. Stacking empty pallets fits far more — tell us your quantity and we will plan the delivery.
How do I get pallet pricing?
Pricing depends on pallet type, grade, quantity and delivery location. Request a quote and we usually reply within one business day, or call +1 778-776-1957.
